Analog photography

Karl (May, 2016)

Karl is my colleague's six-month-old son. To be precise, he was six months when I took the picture. Now, he is already a grown-up boy who can stand on his own!

To be honest, I am not quite satisfied with this shot. The Jupiter portrait lens has much softer focus than my favorite Helios. I have not yet become accustomed to this lens and did not "feel the frame". Cut-off hands and heads are fine for modern photography, but I want to reach for the masters!

P.S. Next time, I will wipe a child's nose before taking his portrait (hee-hee).
